Thrift Inspiration,Net-A-Porter Style

Stripes are so dominantly in trend this season, well when haven't they been for the last few?

I wanted to embrace stripes more, but as I have a few striped tees already, was ready for them in something different. Here is a pick of striped jackets available at Net-A-Porter:

DVF Mariner Jacket, £505

Oscar de la Renta cardigan, £1735
Carven Jacket, £550

Earlier this week I went thrift shopping on my last day of my holidays and Sense were holding a 'Everything for £1' sale. I was very pleased to pick up this gorgeous unstructured Agnes B striped jacket.

I think the best way to wear it will be most definitely with colours-I may well do block colour of my fuschia pink Gap tee and my cobalt blue Versace skinny jeans.

Will you be wearing colour blocking and or stripes this summer?

I like to mix stripes and flowers within the same color palette.

Dear Sharon, I think your colours will look amazing with that. I love Agnes B although I haven't worn their stuff for years, I used to go in the Marylebone branch a lot. t's very well made and the fabrics are always great. Another excellent find by you. I can't believe how much that de la Renta cardi is! That's half the budget for my new bathroom I haven't managed to save for yet. Oops! Have a good Friday xx

Hi Sharon, unfortunately, I don't own any clothes with stripe patterns but I definitely will go for them!

oh, I totally forgot the following:

If you like vintage and boho outfits, please support me on arte fashion week. anybody who took part on the style competition and looks a bid boho gets negative feedback, including me, what is really unfair in my opinion.

I'm not a huge stripe fan as they never look quite right on me, that said I do own a few things. I shall dust them out in anticipation.

Being a lover of black and white, your new "finds" are very exciting for me to see! I have similar pieces in my wardrobe waiting for body to reduce in size...can't wait to wear them.

Loving the sound of a hot pink tee and those fabulous Versace jeans under that bargainacious jacket. You must post a picture when you're wearing it. xxx

I love the colour blocking look... but I love stripes too... so I'll be doing both... probably not at the same time. x

Oh yes stripes are everywhere. I've spotted lots of blazers in stores already and dresses. I'm not so into horizontal stripes so I will definitely be sticking to my vertical ones!

I have to wear stripes with care: basically they work on my top half, but not my bottom (striped trousers on me scream 'she's trying to make her short curvy legs long and thin' and in that way make me look unconfident and dumpy. When I'm actually confident and dumpy LOL).

So striped blazers and breton tops yay! I might be brave and invest in some red block colour bottoms for a nautical style.

Hi there,

I have a inquiry for the webmaster/admin here at sharonrosepixie.blogspot.com.

Can I use part of the information from this blog post right above if I provide a link back to this website?

Thanks,

It's a bit like Gok vs Brix - inventive, thrifty style always wins! I think wearing it with colours will look great.
