Thrift Inspiration, Vogue Fiesta Style

On my thrifting trips, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect style vintage dress, hopefully inspired by what will be in trend for the coming season.

Vogue have predicted the 'Fiesta' trend, which incorporates full skirts at midi length and frilled peasant blouses with a latin edge:

Last weeks thrift trip found this vintage Wallis peasant style dress, which is a really vibrant scarlet red and patterned in a bold leaf and acorn print.
It has pretty ruffles around the neckline and a suitable in trend midi length and is a versatile day dress for any forthcoming season. It was from the Sue Ryder charity shop in a neighbouring local town:

I think it will look really good with some gold wedges, flat gladiator sandals or some tan leather knee length boots, depending on the season I wear it. I will wear it with its own self skinny belt or a wide tan or black belt.

I love those old Wallis labels. That dress is absolutely ravishing, I'd definately have snapped that beauty up.
I've always loved that 1970's peasant look, I'm glad it's back. xxx

Ohhhhh I love that Wallis dress. I love Seventies Wallis passionately, some of my favourite dresses have been by them. Not only that, but the label was just a joy to behold as well.

Can't wait to see you wearing that soon!!

I cannot wait for summer. I just want to get back into single layers again :(

Can't wait to see your take on the latin fiesta!!
Its already summer "like" for us here in South Florida! For summer I'm into bright colors, men's shirts, full skirts, print shorts and lots of bangles.

I love that whole Spanishy gypsy type look anyway, very romantic. I love the colour blocking that seems to be coming our way... I'm hoping it's shaping up to be a very bright summer.

I love that the 70s style has come back, but in a less tacky way then a decade ago! I love the peasant dress you got... definitely something I can see worn with a pair of wedge sandals.
